The Asemtec operation, which will be renamed Creation Technologies – San Jose, will become the seventh Creation Technologies business unit providing medium-volume, complex electronics manufacturing solutions to North American companies. Creation’s other business units are based in Vancouver, Burnaby, Dallas, Milwaukee, Toronto and Mississauga.
Asemtec, a privately owned company since its inception in 1984, has seventy employees and expects 2006 revenues of approximately US $7 million. The company has customers which participate in the medical, military, communications and industrial control products markets.

Adding a location in the Bay Area is the next step in Creation’s strategy to be the service provider of choice in North America in our areas of expertise. We are extremely pleased to be able to acquire such a solid company as Asemtec.”
All employees in the San Jose facility will continue to report to Bill Frandsen, Asemtec’s founder, through the transition. “We are very excited to integrate into Creation’s strong business model and culture,” said Bill Frandsen. “As a new Creation business unit, we can provide Western USA customers with a broader scope of services, including product design, electronic and mechanical assembly, test services, logistics, environmental compliance and warranty and repair services.
